Colonel Qaddafi speaks
The leader of Lybia spoke in the United Nations general assembly today. It made me laugh. The time limit for all speakers was 15 minutes, but he went on for 90. Among other things,* he was introduced as the King of Kings of Africa
* suggested that swine flu was created in a laboratory as a weapon
* defended the right of the Taliban to exist
* demanded a thorough investigation of the deaths of JFK and Martin Luther King
* tore up the United Nations charter, and said he did not respect it
* suggested that Obama stay president for a loooong time. No reason to leave office
* suggested that Israel and Palestine be combined into a single country called IsratineGuess it is good we have a forum for people to discuss this sort of thing.
Also, after Obama spoke, so many other world leaders lined up to shake his hand, that it took twenty minutes for the session to calm down so the next speaker could speak. Not sure how he can use that, but that is some power he has.

HAHAHA, that sounds amazing. Maybe I'll start keeping up a little more with politics
. Or maybe I should just keep reading the "odd news" only.

Yeah, the news and politics is my entertainment. I have to make it so, otherwise I get too upset and annoyed

although I do find politics in developing countries more exciting, usually
I find a lot of news to be quite depressing though. And then the other thing is that it is too complicated for me. As a simple person, I say what I mean, and generally try to act accordingly. I have a slight doubt/distrust for politicians, so perhaps that is another reason for my apathy towards that stuff.
I wonder if I was brought up in a different society if I would still admire many of the ideas and methods of this country, or I would think whatever other govt type was superior somehow.

wow, you only have a slight distrust towards politicians? Wow, you really don't read news!! ^^
Hmm.. well you got a point there and illegal immigrants don't pay taxes at all so..
But hey if I had loads of money I wouldn't mind.

Well at least you have a good heart even if your wallet is not in the right place

I suppose
I dislike politics. People who involved in politics always play dirty and that make politics also dirty in my eyes.
