Superman VS Normal Guy
In Superman Returns, Lois Lane is married, but she is still in love with Superman, but she also loves her husband. I really hated this movie. I think it is something like Superman is the wild guy who will always be in her heart, but husband is the nice supportive stable guy who will always be around no matter what. In fact, husband seems to know she feels this way, and he drives her around to see Superman when he is sick. In addition, Superman is actually the father of their child. Ouch.
I could never be in a relationship like that. I would hate every minute of my life, knowing that my main attraction to the girl is that I’m stable. Yuck. There are other things I like about myself a lot more. Way to make me feel second-rate for the rest of my life. Rather, I want my girl to be with me because every moment, she is happy to be with me. Every moment together will have been worth it, even if it is the last. Because I make her feel good.
I don’t want to be like husband in Superman Returns.

that’s kind of gloomy. maybe the husband was the kind of guy who just needed somebody. or maybe he just loved her ‘that’ much. i am too selfish to think it’s possible though

Yeah. In fairness it is kind of hard to match up to superman…..I think the husband actually felt kind of prideful that even if Superman was stronger and cooler, he was the one that Lois would come home to at night. Still, it’s not how I roll
What? Super hero movie become lovey-dovey movie! Sucks! Yucks! We have more than enough of romantic and 18SX movies.

Oh yeah, that’s a perfect description of the movie. They forgot what was great about super hero movies and made it a love movie. I don’t think it was 18SX, though
@phantomFive - Hehehe… maybe not, but any movie with too much kissing & hugging is 18SX in my eyes.
@RestlessButterfly -
lol do you hate romance that much?
yikes. no one wants to be that person. =/ i haven’t seen it, but this is making lois seem really douchey.

Yeah actually, I think that’s a good way to describe the movie…….full of douches. Superman, Lois, Husband……..except Lex Luthor was genuinely evil. He was pretty great, although ultimately a failure.
@phantomFive - maybe i’ll see it when i have the time. i’m usually too impatient to sit through an entire movie. lex luthor is one of my favorite villain, though. such a nihilist, that one.

Wow, now I am interested in what kind of person you are if you don’t have the patience to sit through an entire movie. Although I wouldn’t suggest seeing that one, I already told you everything interesting about it!
jeez, what a crazy relationship.

Yeah, I KNOW, it really made me think when it came out because at that time there was a girl who I thought was treating me the same way, and that really made me feel depressed, although later I realized it wasn’t really the same, so I didn’t need to get depressed by that.
