Thanks. I would take credit for it, but the fact is when driving through that part of the country you don't really need to have any particular skill, something great is bound to pop up for you to take a picture of.
lolol Summer temperatures of 130 degrees and annual average 2 inches rain a year (or zero in some parts). Temperatures so hot the pavement will melt your sneakers if you stand on it too long, and hikers dying every year, in their last minutes scratching up their blackened tongues, parched from thirst.
I didn't see any of those hikers that ended like that. I read it in a book, but who knows? It does sound very interesting. I certainly wasn't one of those hikers.
Yeah. Supposedly the pavement gets to 200 degrees. I think it mainly melts the sneaker glue, though.......I've had that happen, but not in death valley
I should add that people who run through death valley often try to run on the white line on the edge of the road, since that is cooler than the black stuff.
Yaaaay death valley! The stars there were so nice! Must've been a nice escape for you guys!
Alaska has lovely wildflowers too! Which I thought to be surprising back when we visited (I might've been in elementary then, so I thought all of AK was perpetually frigid).
I finished my big physiology exam, but I have upcoming Latin and Orgo exams. -_- Nonetheless, I took today as a completely off day. I did absolutely no school work, but I did clean a lot and got to see my family. (: yay! But I guess I'll have to pay for it tomorrow. Haha...:[
