Arab Queen, Woman's Rights, and Education (or Why Peace is Possible)
Today I came across the website of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordon, in the middle east. She is on Twitter, too! Check it out.

She is a shining example of everything that is right in the world, working for women's empowerment, children, education, and yes, hope.Here is a quote from her website, which is absolutely true. If only the American schooling system would make this its motto!
“Educating our children is not just about imposing a body of knowledge on them. Rather, it involves preparing children from the early years for the world in which they will come of age. It means instilling a love for lifelong learning, creativity,self-expression and an appreciation for diversity.”
Things like this are proof that world peace is possible. We need to follow her example and focus on making the world a better place, instead of worrying about terrorists and who has WMD.

Eh. The American (public) education system needs an overhaul. (Can't say about private schools, since I've never experienced it, or studied about it.)

Yeah, I know. But it is easy to see there are problems with it, and hard to find a way to make it better. I am just suggesting one way. Plus I decided I really like the Queen of Jordan.
Unfortunately, there's just so many issues around the world that it'll be extremely difficult to attain world peace. But like you, I hope it'll happen!

It is actually closer than a lot of people realize. If you look at the last hundred years, and especially the last 30, you will see that there is becoming less and less war, and peace is becoming more and more likely (mainly because war is stupid). Check out this movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tK6k4IqIdoQ. Peace will happen as soon as we as a people rise up and say, "war is no longer an answer."
I guess the only question is will they? Especially in N. Korea.
@rising_zero -
N Korea doesn't want war. They know they will lose. If they do start a war, there will be only one...........and it will be over quickly.
@phantomFive - If they started a war, then they would be more stupid than they already are because no other country would help them.
@rising_zero -
Yes, so it is likely that their purpose in building nukes is something other than to start a war.
Some people think N Korea's purpose is to get the US mad, so the US will threaten N Korea, and then the dictator can say to his people, "You need me to stay dictator so that I can defend us against the US." But clearly they are not trying to start a war.
@phantomFive - But they've been told numerous times not just by the US, but from other nations not to do anything with the nukes, yet they have. But I don't think anything's gonna happen.
I'm actually the youngest.
Wow! What a role-model!
The basis of school however, is cultural-socio indoctrination
Oh, yes. I feel so alive. This year has really brought me back to that. I have been relishing it. How could I not feel alive when I am creating it within? It is the most powerful gift of all... the greatest love.. learning to fall in love with yourself (just not getting lost in it- if yano what I mean).
that's an awesome quote

Thanks. I wish were the one I who'd said it. Feel free to come by any time to look and admire it.
I think you missed the point completely.

I'm pretty sure I got it
And she's hot.

LOL yes, makeup and good photography help, though.

Isn't that kind of what her quote implies? Preparing children for the world in which they will come of age?
